New Mexico – The Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM), today, launched their Holiday Giving Guide and announced efforts to help New Mexicans in need during the holiday season. DPNM’s Holiday Giving Guide provides a list of resources that visitors to the webpage can use to find local organizations and lend a hand this Holiday Season.
Democrats across the state are also participating in DPNM’s efforts to give back to the community by hosting giving drives, donating their time, and including giving activities during December meetings and festivities. Those in the Albuquerque area are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items to the Democratic Party of New Mexico office at 322 Adams SE, Albuquerque, N.M. 87018.
“Democrats have a spirit of giving year round—we know that together we can help each other get ahead and during the holidays we want to make sure we’re giving back to our communities and helping New Mexicans in need across the state,” said Debra Haaland, Chairwoman of the Democratic Party of New Mexico. “This year we’re encouraging all our county parties to incorporate giving activities into their holiday celebrations and December meetings as a way to have a real impact across the state. I hope everyone visits DPNM’s Holiday Giving Guide online to find ways they can help.”
As a result of the national election, the Democratic Party of New Mexico is also encouraging New Mexicans to donate what they can to local organizations who work on issues that may be at risk in a Trump administration, especially organizations that support women’s health, climate change, conservation, and equality.
