New Mexico – Today, the Democratic Party of New Mexico released the following statement encouraging New Mexicans to “Shop Small” and support small businesses on Saturday, November 26. Small businesses make up a significant portion of New Mexico’s economy, employing hundreds of thousands of New Mexicans.
“Home-grown New Mexico businesses work hard to employ locally and they contribute to our economy. This Saturday, Democrats are encouraging our fellow New Mexicans to make their purchases at small businesses and eat at local restaurants to support our entrepreneurs and promote a healthy, diverse economy,” said Debra Haaland, Chairwoman of the Democratic Party of New Mexico.
New Mexico is home to more than 150,000 small businesses who employ more than 300,000 people statewide, according to the Small Businesses Association.
