New Mexico – Today, Hillary Clinton surrogate and actor Kamar de los Reyes joined Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts in Albuquerque and Algodones today.
Kamar de los Reyes He highlighted what is at stake in this election saying, “Our future depends on the decision we make when we go to the polls. I’m tired of all the divisive talk and dangerous ideas being pushed by the Republican ticket. We need Hillary Clinton in the White House.”
In Albuquerque, Reyes visited with canvass and phonebank volunteers and motivated them to continue their work to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. In Algodones, Reyes joined U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich, Congressman Ben Ray Luján, Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham and the Sandoval County community at the Sandoval County Democrats’ GOTV Matanza. The GOTV Matanza was held to kick off final Democratic GOTV efforts as we head into the final days of the 2016 election.
“The Hillary Clinton campaign has invested resources in GOTV efforts throughout the state, and today it was great to have Kamar de los Reyes join us in getting out the vote on the final day of early voting,” said Debra Haaland, Chairwoman of the Democratic Party of New Mexico. “Democrats are focused on the issues that our state is facing, and the Clinton campaign’s focus on events that center around the issues that are most important to our state are a testament to her commitment to New Mexico–from Anne Holton, who made sure we are focused on the education of New Mexico kids, Bernie Sanders who put the focus on our economy, and Amanda Renteria, who made sure our Hispanic communities know Hillary Clinton is on their side.”
