DPNM Launches “Pay-To-Play Pacheco” Website to Inform Voters of Paul Pacheco’s Unethical Behavior, Harmful Voting Record

Albuquerque, N.M. – Today, the Democratic Party of New Mexico launched the “Pay-to-Play Pacheco” website at www.paytoplaypacheco.com to inform voters about Paul Pacheco’s unethical behavior as a legislator and harmful voting record.

“Paul Pacheco is not looking out for New Mexico, and this site will allow voters to see just how unethical and extreme Paul Pacheco is. Pacheco is clearly out for himself and does not have the best interest of his district in mind. In November, voters will have the choice to put him out of office and elect someone who has been involved in the community, and has a real vision for our future,” said Felicia Salazar, Communications Director of the Democratic Party of New Mexico.

Earlier this month, an ethics complaint filed with the Attorney General’s Office against Paul Pacheco revealed that his brother directly profited from funding Pacheco secured through his position in the legislature. In a clear shirk of commitment to transparency and accountability, Pacheco did not disclose a conflict of interest when securing funds for a project that was not in in his district.

In addition, Paul Pacheco voted for numerous measures that harm New Mexico’s economy, attack the education of New Mexico children, put harsh and unfair restrictions on women, and put New Mexico’s air and water at risk.
