Albuquerque, N.M. – Today, the Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM), New Mexico Senate Democrats, and New Mexico House Democrats stood against the presumptive Republican nomination and New Mexico GOP’s endorsement of Donald Trump at a press conference in Albuquerque Civic Plaza today.

At the press conference the Democrats denounced Trump’s offensive comments about women, harmful attitudes toward our Hispanic and immigrant communities, and failure to present serious policy solutions. They also called on Republican candidates in New Mexico to be transparent on whether they stand with Trump and his racist rhetoric and reckless policy ideas.

Press conference speakers included DPNM Chairwoman Debra Haaland, New Mexico Senator Jerry Ortiz y Pino (D-Dist. 12), New Mexico Representative Gail Chasey (D-Dist. 18), New Mexico Representative Javier Martinez (D-Dist. 11), and New Mexico Representative and New Mexico House Democratic Caucus Chair Patricia Roybal Caballero (D-Dist. 13).
