Today, the Democratic Party of New Mexico announced that State Senator Jacob Candelaria will host a REAL ID Information Session at the University of New Mexico School of Law on Thursday, April 14. Representatives of the state Department of Taxation and Revenue will be available to answer questions, provide important deadlines, and clarify the implementation process. Everyone is welcome to attend.
In 2016, a bill to make New Mexico REAL ID Complaint was passed by the legislature and signed into law. Additionally, the Department of Homeland Security granted the state an extension for compliance. The changes will impact New Mexicans across the state.
