Special thanks to the hundreds of volunteers that gave of their time and resources to elect Democrats
Despite losing the race for Governor and Secretary of State, NM Democrats and Independents have sent Sen. Udall, Congresswoman Lujan Grisham and Congressman Ben Ray Luján back to Congress.
“Although the election results were not as we had hoped for, we had some key victories which bucked the trend nationally, winning four races as well as re-electing Senator Udall, Congresswoman Lujan Grisham and Congressman Lujan. The PRC will have a new Democratic member and a 4-1 Dem majority.
We did ensure that the Attorney General, State Auditor, State Treasurer and Public Regulation Commission will remain in Democratic hands,” stated DPNM Chairman Sam Bregman.
“Congratulations to all of our candidates that won as well as to our candidates that were unsuccessful in their individual races,” added Bregman. “Thank you to all of the hundreds of volunteers that gave of their time, energy and finances to elect Democrats from the bottom to the top.
“Democrats will continue to move our state forward and ensure that jobs, education and health care are promoted so that all New Mexican families succeed and have a better future.”
