Congressman Ben Ray Luján has announced his formal endorsement of Harrison Todacheene for the New Mexico House in district 4. Air Force veteran Harrison Todacheene has spent over 40 years serving his Shiprock community as a member of IBEW, a Project Manager for the Navajo Nation and Commander of the Shiprock Veterans Organization.
“I’m proud to announce that I’m supporting Harrison Todacheene for State Representative in district 4,” Luján said. “Harrison has served his community in northwest New Mexico for over 40 years and will continue to be a champion for district 4 in the Legislature.”
Todacheene, a former Project Manager for the Navajo Nation from Shiprock is the Democratic nominee running for the seat.
“I’m running because I’ve committed my life to serving this community,” Todacheene said. “I grew up here and I’m running to make sure my grandchildren can make a life here in district 4.”
Todacheene has pledged to be a voice for veterans and elders in the New Mexico Legislature. He currently serves as Commander of the Shiprock Veterans Association. He is known for his ability to bring new funds and projects into his district. Most recently he played a key role in the construction of the San Juan Multigenerational Center and the Chaco River affordable housing units in Shiprock.
