House Republicans voted for the 50th time today to undermine the Affordable Care Act. Following the vote, DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz released the following statement:

“Today’s vote is just the latest example of GOP obstructionism — after going so far as to shut down the federal government last October in hopes of derailing Obamacare.

“After 50 votes to dismantle or undermine the Affordable Care Act, it’s clear Republicans’ plan for health care in America is repeal – which would put insurance companies back in the driver’s seat, kick young people off their parents’ plans, increase drug prices for seniors and renew discrimination against those with preexisting conditions. More than 4 million Americans have signed up for coverage through the state and federal exchanges alone. While Republicans waste time and taxpayer money with political posturing, Democrats will focus on the important issues that will move our country forward like comprehensive immigration reform, raising the minimum wage, and extending unemployment benefits for millions of Americans.”
