Governor Martinez needs to Answer Questions Regarding Governor Chris Christie and “Bridge-Gate”

Political order to close bridge caused an unconscious 91-year-old woman who later died of cardiac arrest, a car accident with multiple injuries and a missing 4-year-old.

In the past 24 hours we learned that Gov. Christie’s Deputy Chief of Staff and allies were responsible for the lane closures on the George Washington Bridge. The emails released revealed that the lane closures were political retribution for a Mayor who didn’t endorse Gov. Christie during his re-election campaign in 2013. Gov. Christie claims he was lied to by his staff.

As a matter of fact, she was the only “sitting out-of-state officeholder to campaign with him”. Governor Martinez has praised Gov. Christie and many consider her a potential VP running mate for Christie in 2016.

During an interview for the New York Times article “Conservative Republicans Recoil at the Notion that Christie is the Party’s Savior”, Governor Martinez said the following about Governor Christie:

“I love his authenticity, I love who he is.”

“I will support Governor Christie in anything he decides to do in life.”

DPNM Chairman Sam Bregman commented: “Does Governor Martinez still support ‘anything Chris Christie does in life’? Will she invite Governor Christie to campaign with her here in New Mexico? New Mexicans deserve some answers.

“Hopefully, Governor Martinez will not do anything to cross Governor Christie. Otherwise, if he were to become President he might shut down I-40 and I-25,” Bregman added.
