Below is a statement from Matt Biggs on his endorsement of Diane Gibson:
“I ran for City Council because we need a new direction in Albuquerque, and because I think we need to protect what makes Albuquerque unique.
Over the last 6 months I had the pleasure of campaigning with Diane Gibson, and I can say first hand she’s hard working and determined to move our community forward.
She will stand up for Albuquerque working families, she will fight to keep our streets safe, and she will fight tirelessly for our children’s future.
I am pleased to announce my support for Diane Gibson for City Council.”
Diane Gibson will face incumbent Janice Arnold-Jones in a November 19th runoff that will share the ballot with a city-wide vote on a measure to restrict abortions in Albuquerque. Gibson is pro-choice.
Diane Gibson is a former Sandia National Laboratories machinist and has worked as a tax preparation professional. Her campaign will continue to focus on reducing crime in District 7, creating good paying jobs and making sure our children get a great education.
