Sam Bregman: Let Freedom Ring

All Americans and especially Democrats, proudly celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s historic March on Washington in August, 1963. This march helped pave the way for all major civil rights laws, which have made us a more inclusive, tolerant and just nation.

Our state is on the cutting edge of this movement not only in the United States but throughout the world. This tremendous outpouring of hope and inclusion is an historic event that is helping fulfill Dr. King’s commitment to equality for all Americans, all the time, right now.

Another champion of personal freedom and inclusion is Congressman Joaquin Castro, who will be headlining DPNM’s Rising Star Dinner next week, September 6. Congressman Castro has worked tirelessly in his community and realizes that when you have strong community involvement, you are helping build the future for the next generation and beyond. Together with his identical twin, Mayor Julian Castro, these two strong Democrats exemplify the American dream and show that Democrats stand on the right side of history on all issues that matter to working men and women.

The Rising Star Dinner is selling out fast, so make sure you get your tickets now for an exciting, historic evening with one of our nation’s outstanding, future leaders. Call 505-830-3650 to order your tickets. It doesn’t get any better than this!

In case you missed it, here is a link to an article in POLITICO that profiles the Castro brothers and includes a quote from DPNM Chairman Sam Bregman.

Join us on September 6 and help us celebrate and welcome Congressman Castro to New Mexico, showing that the American dream is alive and is building the future for our families and our kids.

Right now.
